Gwynnie Mania

Apparently, the August issue of Vogue is chock full of good Gwynnie news for all us stalkers fans...

Among the morsels in the article; GP has penned a cookbook, My Father's Daughter, which debuts next Spring. Guess that dream she mentioned to Mark Bittman on Spain: On The Road Again came to fruition...

Annnd, she has a movie, Country Strong with Tim McGraw, coming out in December...

So much GP on the horizon and too much wait time! Until then, I'll just have to rely on my weekly GOOP newsletters for my Gwynnie fix...

Meanwhile, the mice are busy cataloguing all the relevant cookbook and movie notes in the Gwyneth Paltrow file in my head. That file happens to be housed in the same aisle as the India Hicks and Oprah files...

Now, off to scour the Internet for the monogrammed Goyard bag she's sporting in this picture I stumbled upon on the Summer in Newport blog. Hmmm...Maybe I will take Babe up on that invite to NYC next week...

Kindness of Kristin at
Summer in Newport for alerting me to all the good Gwynnie media on the horizon. And, most of all, that must have Goyard tote. And, just so happens I have the 4 initial thingy going for me too. How convenient...XXOO

And, a special thank you to Erin at Let the Tide Pull Your Dreams Ashore for the
link to her Goyard post from last year. And, the price tag to Gwynnie's lil number. We WON'T be publishing that info where prying Babe eyes may see!

  1. I love that bag, too, but I wonder if I would love it quite so much if I didn't know how much it cost. It's kinda ugly. I think I'd actually rather have another Boat-n-Tote. (I have 5.)

She really looks fab on the cover though. That blue is so pretty on her.

Oh well, I have a love/hate thing with her. A dear friend of mine is good friends with several of her fellow Spence alumnae. They were not fans, to say the least.

  2. Great pics of Gwyneth! I have two Goyard totes and LOVE them but don’t have them monogrammed. I have thought about monogramming them but haven’t gone for it yet! The coolest thing is you can bring them back at any point and have them sent out for monogramming. xx

  3. My friend has a Goyard bag... I'll have to recommend the monogram to her! I am sure you are much more fabulous than Gwynnie!

  4. I have 4 initials too! Tho I usually just use 3 of them - makes monogramming so much easier! Is that why you didnt know who AFR is?

  7. I am sure you know, but if you are sweating the Hermes beach towel, you might have to open a new credit card secretly for the Goyard purse purchase!!! Good luck..I would die for that purse.

  11. I have loved Gwyneth since she first came on the scene, wearing a lot of black and white and dating Brad Pitt... in those days I couldn't get my hair straight enough or blonde enough! years later, I'm still loving her! I worked an event once in NYC and my job was to run to Duane Reade in my Calvin Klein gown and 4 inch heels to buy her mom, Blythe Danner some saline solution. She was so sweet! I was starstruck! They are all gorgeous!

  12. Love me some Gwyneth! We share the same birthday so I've always felt a certain kinship to her! Ha...I'm sure she feels the same! Also adore her cute husband!! Can't wait to get my Vogue in hand!

  13. Wow, she looks gorgeous in that Vogue cover. The best I've ever seen her. Just the other night I rewatched "Hush" with Gwynnie, Jonathan Schaech(sp?) and Jessica Lange. Love that movie and Gwen looked fab of course, and (as you would say) "tiiiiiny."

    ;-)

  15. I have the tote in orange and it rocks, no monogram though -- that can wait 'till I get hitched!

  19. Bergdorfs and barneys has them...they send them out to be monogramed. They're then sent to your home. The cost for monogram and stripes runs about $300-1,000 depending on what you opt to do. Barneys does a lot of special things like peace signs. The sales guy at berdorfs is great to work with, he's good at doing different wordings and color combos. I love them for travel. They're sturdy and have a pouch attached with a leather strap which is perfect for tickets and passport! Make sure you have lunch at Freds, the salads are faboo (quoting Simon Doonan).

  20. That's the second glowing endorsement I've received regarding the Bergdorf's go-to Goyard guy. Mice have made the necessary annotations on the report...XXOO
