An open statement from Stephen Bonanno Sandals to our loyal clients and friends:If it doesn’t say “Stephen” it isn’t Bonanno!
It has come to our attention that for at least the past 7 weeks, the “SBS Signature Stores” have been getting their product made by knock-off “Bonanno Sandals” and passing them off as authentic “Stephen Bonanno Sandals.” Because of this impropriety, Stephen Bonanno Sandals has severed all ties with the proprietors of the Downtown Stuart and Vero Beach locations (as well as the verobonannosandals online presence) and have made a number of unrequited requests that they immediately cease and desist using the “Bonanno” name, the SBS logo and anything representing Stephen Bonanno Sandals in any way shape or form. Legal action is pending.
We know that our loyal preppy clientele appreciates premium quality, looks down upon knock-offs and would be appalled to find out they’ve been duped by a dishonest merchant. We are doing everything within our power to protect the company we’ve worked so hard to build and the customer relationships we so greatly cherish.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info- I love my sandals and would hate to have knock offs. I was so pleased when I sent mine back to the factory after a year of wear and tear. The did a great job rehabbing my sandals.

ReplyDeleteI was in New York a few years back and passed a street stand selling bags, etc. There was one that looked a little like a Prada bag. Upon closer inspection, we saw that the triangle had the word "Pagoda" on it. Now this type of knock-off is hilarious and doesn't fool anyone. The Bonanno issue is something else. Boo on those merchants!
