But, in a feat of veterinary and feline wonderment, he survived and now boasts a swanky pair of prosthetic hind quarters which helped to restore his normal gait...
And, probably a wee bit of kitty swagger I'm guessing. Those Brits...Kindness of Oscar's nuero-orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick for putting so much value on one small furry soul. And, my dear friend Alexandra Lee Small for making my heart sing with this incredible story...XXOO
Oscar is precious! So glad that he can have a normal kitty life. xo xo
ReplyDeleteMy Mom always tells me "What won't kill ya, will make ya stronger." That cat sure has the lived up to the "9 lives motto"

ReplyDeleteLove this story. We all need to hear more happenings like this. BTW I had a black who looked so much like Oscar who was one of the sweetest animals ever. She is gone now but I think of her and miss her every day. Thank you for bringing this to everyone's attention. Happy 4th to you all!!!

aww kitty! I'm so glad they were able to fix his feet! I love the blog makeover...looks great! Have a happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteAmazing Story! The medical advances that have been made are wonderful. On a side note, I laughed yesterday when I passed South of the Border. I could picture you and Babe sitting on the beach, on your SOTB towel no less playing your Hermes memory game.
ReplyDeleteLove your new blog design!! And love this story. Thank you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, poor thing! But you're right, what an incredible story. My friend's dog was hit by a car and lost one of her hind legs, but she actually managed to do fine on just 3. We called her the "3-legged wonderdog". Amazing what animals teach us.
ReplyDeleteWonderful story!
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to hear an uplifting animal story. You go Oscar, with your bad bionic self!
