Puttin on the Dog

This month's Elle Decor featured the cutest Nantucket inspired doggie collars and leads in all the right preppy colors and designs.

We've been trying to hold out on our dream pooch til we have more than 500sq ft of living space but, I am chomping at the bit even more now that I've spied these proper pet accoutrement's by Mascot.

How shwanky would our Old English Sheepdogs look in these little numbers during the warm months?

We've been told that if you're interested in this breed it's best to get them in pairs since they apparently suffer from separation anxiety and prefer to not be left alone. Sooo the pink for one and the green for the other, natch.

And, if God decides not to grace me with my dream, identical twin girls, then "Liz and Lil" will be bestowed upon the pups. Names like that would surely require that they have Mascots matching Lilly Pulitzer Collars as well.

And, for a certain, special calendar boy known to all as Monty Morris...

May I suggest the debonair Old School Repp Collar in green?

Kindness of Melissa C. Morris for graciously allowing me to name drop Monty and pilfer her pictures on occasion.

  3. Love the collars! I have the Lilly collar and lead for my Golden. His is the blue/yellow crab pattern though. I just couldn't get the bf to allow me to emasculate our pup that much with the patch pattern :)

  4. Dear Allie in Gtown,
I sincerely hope God blesses you with those twin girls and you are too busy taking care of them to even have time to purchase those collars. Have a great Memorial Day. Thanks for sharing. Denise

  8. I love that leash and collar set! A few months ago I found a very similar braided leash from Tar-jay and I love it. I still kick myself for not buying two, one for each dog. What was I thinking!

  12. Very cute dogs & collars. My favorite dog accessory is the tiny barrel worn by the St. Bernard. Perfect for carrying brandy, wine or for other life saving tasks like mixing a martini. I wonder if you could "tap that little keg"?? Are you suprised that this comes from the blogger I'll have another one, please! Wink!

  13. Dear Summer...I own and breed beautiful Old English Sheepdogs for show, sport and pet. They are the BEST dogs in the world...very easy to be around...quiet companions. Unfortunately, no high fashion collars are required (they just disappear in all that glorious coat!) When you are ready for one, give me a shout! Beachin' in Los Angeles...
