Playin' Hooky Tennis

Was too pretty an evening to sit in front of the computer writing so I loaded up the whip with my tennis gear...

Threw up what Babe calls my, (insert thick LI accent) Jo-EEE! from the pool hall, stub of a ponytail and hit the courts with my sister...

'Twas the perfect night for tennis with the full Strawberry Moon juuust starting to reveal it's June glory. Now, please excuse me while I go wash the Har-Tru dust off my ankles...

Kindness of Babe who will spring for some much needed lessons at Bethany Beach Tennis with Bobby Hushhhh. Of course, I'll be needing new tennis duds. And, all my balls were pretty flat. May also wanna join a league. But, at least I won't be online shopping! XXOO

  1. Ooh I keep posting to you but your trunk looks like mine -simply a different Lilly water bottle but same bag and hopper... Just posted some fabulous new tennis duds on my novice blog - with requisite yet cute tennis whites for MITL!

  2. We just started playing tennis a bit ago. I'd played a few times as a kid and hubs played in the 80's as well, but we're not good. We sprung for some mid-range rackets and really good balls! hahaha My personal experience shows if you buy a tennis skirt (I got mine at TK Maxx for a steal), it improves your skills by roughly 15%! And you look like you know what you're doing, which makes all the difference! hee hee Will hopefully start some lessons sometime next summer as well :-D

  3. I'm needing to find a league here too Alice. I played in college and love the game so much. Miss it. Growing up in Kalamazoo, Michigan we had the Nats at the Zoo boys 16s and 18s each summer. Glorious to grow up watching such beautiful tennis. NE1410S?

  4. WHERE did you get your tennis bag? It is tres cute, and I am on the hunt for a new cover/bag like you wouldn't believe. Please, won't you divulge your secret?

  5. It's Lilly Pulitzer for LeSportsac and, unfortunately, no longer available. Although, I did spy some one on eBay recently. Good luck! XXOO
