And, we woke him on the big day by piling gifts on his half asleep self. First up in the small heap was T. Anthony's Travel Tie Case in brown with his initials to match his luggage...
This way I don't have to offend my anal retentive senses every time I roll up a pricey Hermès or Bvlgari tie for packing in one his side zipped suitcase or duffel pockets...
We also loaded him up with new Under Armour running gear including his fav of the lineup, the très Rafa Nadal Classic Woven Shorts. They are such a hit we're headed back to the outlet for the blue and black pairs...
The last gift was a smidge of a gamble cuz Babe is piiiiCKYYY. After seeing a mention about Left Field Khakis in Garden & Gun's piece on Mortar in Houston I called and Cecilia was a huge help with sizing and Left Field intel. Minus his pet peeve, the dreaded button fly, Babe really likes them. And, 'twas a goooood thing I hit the mark with the bday loot cuz it was less than 24 hours later that the Excel spread sheet revealed my May crimes. Gooood thing...
FYI: According to Cecilia, her last lot of Left Field Khakis was running a whole size too small so I'd advise comparing waist measurements like she and I did. The khakis remind me a lot of Filson's tin pants but, already broken in...
