I can't believe we're moving to the very same town where my good friend Dorli grew up in this home after yeeeaaars of having her retell me stories like the time her father asked, "Whooo??? NOOO!" and slammed the door in the faces of Billy Joel's people when they knocked seeking permission to film the River of Dreams music video from a boat with her house as the backdrop...
And, how her mother wouldn't allow them out after dark following the death of Martha Moxley cuz there was a murderer on the loose in town...
It's the town where I'll be just a 20 minute drive from my cousin Melissa and her family in one direction and a 20 minute drive from this li'l hombre in the other...
Yup. Babe's très hard work has landed us a gig in Greenwich, CT. But, not til I'm ready to hang up my beach house spurs at the end of the summer, natch...
Kindness of Babe who is generously continuing to live the planes, trains and black car life for three more long months just so that I we can eek out our summer lease at the beach. And, Monty Morris for keeping his snout sealed as promised and Maxminimus for not following through on his threat to "tell effing everyone"...XXOO
Oh, nice! What a great place to move.
ReplyDeleteFour years in Connecticut did not sit too well with this Maryland girl - but then I wasn't in Greenwich!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you'll be leaving the south of the North/north of the South for New England...but you know you can always ask me for emergency shipments of Berger Cookies when your sisters can't oblige!
