In Memory Of Grandpa Flynn

Babe's Grandpa Flynn had a motto; to live a fulfilling life, you need to exercise your mind, body and spirit...

And, as a graduate of MIT, who enjoyed solving differential equations as a weekend hobby, an avid runner, diver, skier, surfer and triathlete who was still competing and winning well into his 80's, active in his church, often running the predawn, 6 mile round trip there on Sundays just to turn the coffee on, it sounds as though he spent his 92 years doing just that...

Kindness of my father-in-law for sending me my favorite picture of Grandpa Flynn...XXOO

  6. What a wonderful person. Sometimes it seems like men like this are a dying breed which is so sad. However, I am certain Babe will carry on the family tradition and lived out his motto!

  7. The kind of thing that makes one nod one's head and mutter, "Good for him. Good for him." Thank you.

  8. What an amazing man. What a nice lineage for Babe to come from. Wish I'd known this one, too (ref to Melissa's friend from earlier in the week).

  9. Learning that part of his personality makes sense, very much so. It seems he had an abundant spirit, that part of the gene pool seems to flourish within your dear, kind, ever gracious Babe. Hugs and prayers to you, as well as good thoughts.
