Bad Hairless Day

It's been a two thumbs down day and a certain to be sleepless night. A trip to a new groomer for our summer lion cuts resulted in an emergency vet visit for both my babies. Lots of surgical glue, Mummy tears and one antibiotic shot later and no one can seem to get comfortable. Daddy just Skyped from the West Coast and did his best to talk me off the hysteria ledge but, alas, there's no talking me down when it comes to the Ti-Babe's welfare. So, I'm buckling up for what's promising to be a sleepless night for us all including, heads up, Daddy...

Kindness of St. Francis of Assisi who will please watch over our li'l Pilge and Lolls and help them to have a peaceful night's sleep. Mummy will take some of that too pleaseee...XXOO

  2. And I thought I was having a bad cat day when the grocery store was out of my cats' preferred brand of cat litter tonight!

A speedy recovery to Lolly and Pilgie - and especially to you, Allie. (You've given me this summer's excuse NOT to take Patty to the groomer!)

  8. Why are the cats called T-Babes ?

Can you tell again, why George Rockefeller is called Pilgie ?

    Thank you

  9. "Ti" is short for "petite" in Cajun and is used in place of "little" or "junior" preceeding a name. And, since Babe (whose paternal side of the family is Cajun) and I both refer to each other as "Babe", the puddies are our Ti-Babes. And, it would be hard to trace the etymology of "Pilge/Pilgie" from George Washington Rockefeller. Probably started with Pips and Widgitz and evolved over time. I'm somewhat of a nickname whisperer. This week he's rolling with Pi-yaaahnni" :)

Most disturbing post I have seen on your site (other than Templeton's ascent). I hope the angels are feeling better, that there was little pain and heaven forbid, not much bleeding. This groomer should be reported to the ASPCA or something. We look forward to sharing all our good kitty resources here in Greenwich - as well as hopefully meeting the TiBabes.
