Now, Babe had forbidden me to buy him any gifts but, that is just plain crazy talk. I disobeyed with this très summery Ledbury shirt...
Which he politely debuted, like a good appreciative husband, for his annual birthday dinner at the Grove...
And, a T. Anthony duffel which I HAD to get cuz it was on sale. Gotta spend money to save money...
It was a wonderful weekend celebration which made it the perfect time to waltz out in a new Lilly frock. Now, who knows how to sell a purchase???
Kindness of Babe for graciously receiving my ugly cake and my verboten gifts. God forbid I had, in any way, shape or form, supported those no gift shenanigans so close to my looming birthday...XXOO
You two look fabulous...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great birthday! And the cake has character - I like it!
ReplyDeleteAlso loved your last few posts. I'm just now catching up in the blog world, so please pardon my lack of comments.
Hope you're having a good one!
XoXo!
The cake actually looks adorable with all the candles! What a lovely weekend... I adore your dress.... the PX90 (is that what it's called --or is that the model of my old Volvo?) and all your running is really paying off!
ReplyDeleteMy husband says no Father's Day gifts, well he will be off to Paris that day, so we have some "no shenanigans" up our Summer Cover-up sleeves!

ReplyDeleteCute blog! I came over from Let the Tide Bring your Dreams Ashore. New follower!
ReplyDeleteYou guys look wonderful. Love the hair and how buff are your arms!?!
ReplyDeleteI like the gingham shirt in red. You have good taste, madam. A lady friend and salesperson in Press talked me out of one in red. Women are better than men at choosing colors. Perhaps I will try again after acquiring some sun this summer.
