Brethren Sale

We hit up the big sale at B2, or the Brethren as ADG fondly refers to them, this past weekend and Babe kindly let me slip a women's fitted Non-Iron French Cuff shirt into his pile at the counter...

It's debut is set for dinner at Sam and Harry's this Friday night along with my recently dusted off love em or leave em Lilly cords...

And, my in seasonal semi-retirement Varinas. Good thing this restaurant's a stones throw from G'town. That way, if I run up against any preppy discrimination, I can hightail it back to safe ground...

Kindness of Amy Fahrenkopf for keeping our dinner date even after reading the outfit spoiler alert...XXOO

  2. I've been meaning to ask you if you've ever gone to Sylene (around the corner from Brooks Brothers). If not, you must! Amazing service!

Anytime is the right time for a crispy, white shirt.

  6. Those are my favorite Lilly cords. I also have another pair in a different color pattern with pink corduroy with a dog on it and the adorable green lobsters on blue corduroy. I miss the embroideries.

Hope you're having a great day!

  11. Adorableoutfit!

I'm so glad that patent leather in the winter is considered a fashion statement nowadays...back in the olden days, it was summer only up here. I hated putting my pretty shiny shoes away!

  12. YEA!!! You're back in town? These are my favorite posts - when you write what you're wearing and what's in your closet!! LOVE the Lilly pants. I bout had a heart attack when I went to the Brethren the other day!! Their store was so empty I asked them if they were closing the store!! It scared me to death, but she reassured me that they were just getting ready to put spring wear out. Whew!!

  16. It's hard to beat a BB shirt. I have several and they are great. I seriously doubt the need for any "hightailing" but if so at least you'll be sporting flats.

  17. PS- Absolutely NOT giving up on champers- quite the opposite. Made a resolution to have it at least once a week. ;-) Life should be celebrated-- regularly!

  18. If you ever leave them-please let me know. I'll buy them off you. I'm dying for those cords. xoxo

  19. Of course, once again, we have the entire same kit. The shirt you will absolutely love. Mine is a total staple...comes in pink too, which is on my longtime covet list. Got mine at the outlet in Lancaster...

  20. So glad someone else refers to Brooks as B2! We are lusting after the shoes, just too cute. The entire outfit is going to be darling on you; if there is even the scent of preppish discrimination you simply must call the local offices of the PPL (Preppy Protection League), I know they have agents in the area. :)
