So, I figured the above book was small enough to slip through the no gift cracks...
And, since the T. Anthony dopp kit would be used for "work" purposes it also technically bypassed his request...
Although, not quite in the league of a Porsche or Gin Lane cottage, a couple of Hermes ties could also fall under the umbrella of "work" items...
But, I expertly detected a flicker of doubt cross Babe's gorgeous face when he layed his eyes upon my raspberry selection. Ever on high alert for any tear inducing reactions he expertly reeled it in and was extremely gracious. Pink tie and all...
Kindness of Babe for truly not caring a lick about gifts and leaving all that concern for moi...XXOO

How is Babe enjoying that book? I bought the same one for my husband and he is really into it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a very lucky boy.
ReplyDeleteAll so "useful" - I'm sure DH ♥'s it all - even the bright tie! :-) XOXO
ReplyDeleteWe speak the same language here. Please tell Babe we want a "book review" - or another guest post to tie us over til the Hamptons house.
ReplyDeleteLove Hermes ties! Not only did I hit Madison ave but I had drinks with a VP from Tory Burch. I'm very resourceful that way-kidding. xoxo

My "bab" said he didn;t want anything...then he came home with a new flat screen as his xmas gift.
ReplyDeleteGreat ties! Would love to hear about the book. I've thought about purchasing it for my hubby, as well as my dad.
ReplyDeletesounds like a keeper to me!

The ties are gorgeous. I love Hermes. I've seen great reviews of the book. Is your husband enjoying it? Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteBahahah! That has definitely happened to me before!
ReplyDeletehe would not say this and then cry when he didn't receive a gift...
How very clever of you! Love those Hermes ties, p.s.
ReplyDeleteIt is raspberry, after all, not pink...
ReplyDeleteYou did something right raising that boy!!
ReplyDeleteThose "no gifts please" Christmases of yours cost a fortune! I'd love to see what Babe gets when he actually wants something. haha..
ReplyDeleteHe truly is a 'babe'. I had a similar experience with Mother's Day one year - said to Mr. P101. You don't need to get me anything; let's just go to church, out to lunch, etc. Then when I got nothing, I quickly told him to never, ever believe me when I say I don't want a thing. What a day that was! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove, love, loved the book. Babe is currently devouring "Lone Survivor" which was penned by Patrick Robinson, who co-authored "Colossal Failure". He has listened to a large portion of the Lehman book on cd with me in the car and we were both completely enthralled. I highly recommend it...XXOO
