When In Rome Mexico

You know how every family's home has a distinguishing smell? Well my parent's homes have a distinguishing sound. The sound of opera. All the time, opera...

I shoulda know something was afoot when the packages started pouring in from Amazon right before my parents headed south for three months. I figured it was books for beach reading and, well, more opera. Not so...

Turns out Trini Lopez is to be the house sound in Ixtapa...

Kindness of the extra pillow I pilfered from one of the other bedrooms that, coupled with the crashing surf, helps me to sleep through the fiesta wafting from the living room every night...XXOO

  1. hahahaha that is hysterical :) my parents are always going on kicks [music, foods, wines...you name it, they'll try it, love it, and get tired of it before i even talk to them again]

i hope you're still having a great vacation!

  2. I'm still surprised you got the flu!!!

I would have thought you'd get the vaccine! Hindsight is 20/20...

Have fun and relax...but it sounds like you are doing just that!

  3. As a Zumba instructor I am partial to Trini...

  4. Just wanted to let you know I discovered your blog a few weeks ago and I positively LOVE it! Hope you have a great vacation and thanks for sharing all your fun/witty stories!

  5. If I knew how to type out that tongue rolling thingy noise I would...maybe you can get your mitts on some earplugs?

  6. Too funny - I suggest ear plugs and an eye shade! :)
