I have hardly left the house without being draped in that thing. And, I'm pretty sure even the warden at the Big House has changed his tune after escorting it around NYC to many an admiring stare..
.
And, merci to all the readers, the first out of the gate being Meg of Pigtown Design, who sent me this great video with 25 ways to tie a scarf. Peeersonallyyy, I learned how badly I want that Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse leopard stole...
Kindness of an old friend who once told me, one should learn to live with beautiful things. Who cares if they get snagged, slightly torn, or even worse for the wear, for that is what gives them character and enjoying them brings such joy. It was my hope to encourage y'all to do the same with these vlogs and, from all the emails, tweets and messages I received, I think
Looove your shawl! Wow. Thank you again for such a fun and informative week of scarf tutorials. Please give our thanks to your fab cameraman and co-stars as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
I'm really enjoying your How-to-tie-your-scarf videos. I got a chuckle with this one because when the camera man panned down to give the kitties the spotlight we missed the last knot on one of steps. It's okay, watching the kitty play with the scarf made up for it. ;-)
ReplyDeletePretty please do some vlogs like Bluefly closet confidential, I can't be the only reader dying to rummage around in your fabulous closet!
ReplyDeleteI've got a gynormo one I inherited from Nanny but never knew what to do with. Talk about a timely post. Wanted to wear something of hers to remember her today... Alice to the Rescue!

I am sure you helped a lot of people this week! It was so fun to "meet" you in person.
ReplyDeleteThe husband thanks you for adding this to my ever-expanding list for Santa. That shawl is GORGIE!!!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Happy Weekend to you and your Babe's!
ReplyDeleteOops, sorry about the camera panning. It was 11:30pm and my cameraman was squeezing in a half asleep me b/t fielding biz calls and working on a document. Not to mention, the first take, which was perfection, was ruined at the very end when Lolly dive bombed the mirrored door exposing the reflection of said cameraman in his boxers. Natch, I woulda just rolled with it but, darn cameraman Union rules forced me to scrap it. Kinda lost steam after that. But, fortunately, that very same knot execution is in the video following mine as "the celebrity". And, there's no furry talent meltdown interference during hers :)
ReplyDeleteThis was a great series. You need to do it once a year.
ReplyDeleteHaha it sounds that the first take was pretty funny...kudos to the cameraman. I ABSOLUTELY love that shawl...what a great scarf week!!!! Happy Friday! xx
