Jules Reid Score

I finally got to meet the gorgeous Jules Reid at her Sherman Pickey trunk show this past weekend...

I hope Jules forgives me if I seemed hasty with my greeting but, do you see all those racks of frocks?

I needed to get myself into the dressing room pronto!

After about an hour of trying on just about everything, Babe voted for the très Jackie O Peony dress in Blue Dots...

While he generously handled my purchase I stayed in the dressing room scheming...

Scheming and plotting how to eventually get my greedy paws on the Flowing Kimono in Elephant Love Blue...

Annnd the Montauk in Light Blue Ikat. Never quite satisfied. Beginning to understand my parents years of frustration...

Kindness of Babe for being sooo very generous with me, per usual. Also, for letting me know that my hair looked like I had been through a wind tunnel after pulling about 20 items over my head before snapping my pic. As a provider you're getting a promotion, as a photographer, you're fired...XXOO

If any of you lucky ducky New Yorkers make it to CK Bradley's Cocktails & Trunk Show report back in with your field notes please!

  2. Oh, I wish I could make it in - but I am booked back to back, well, maybe that is a good thing, looks like it could be a dangerous stop.
Love that top, with the butterfly wings.
All I need is a Head turban.

  4. It looks like a successful trip. Her clothing is tres chic...what fabulous colors. Sherman Pickey was one of the many perks when I lived in Georgetown. I am hoping to see more of JCW in Babe position (in front of a register)...that many have to wait until after business school. GREAT SCORE! xx

  5. ... my mom wore tunics and trousers and jumpsuits.
I wish she had kept them all. She had an ensemble that she wore out to dinner and they told her no pants, so she took them off, her tunic instantly became a dress. Clever Mom.

  7. I walked into Calypso in SOHO this past weekend expecting to see the same rack of beautiful Jules Reid frocks but was majorly let down. Apparently they shipped them to Calypso in FL. Damn those color hating new yorkers. I love your pick/picks.

  13. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Can we have a photo of you modeling your new dress?

And yes, how is the sizing? I might be tempted to order on line, since I doubt there'll be a trunk show in Central Illinois anytime soon...

  20. Isn't it marvelous to have a husband who will not only sit and wait while you try on everything under the sun but who will ALSO handle the final transaction. I'm lucky that way too and feel so sorry for gals who aren't. I'm exhausted ALL the time now from trying to find a future husband for my daughter who will treat her as wonderfully as her daddy treats me!
