His good looks may have helped land him his "face of FURminator" gig but, they were starting to cramp his cusp of summer style...
We'll have to read the fine print to see if his new "lion cut" doo is a breech of his modeling contract...
Maybe it'll end up being a career making move like when Linda Evangelista cut off all her hair...
Or, he can become a swimsuit model in Iceland posing in bikinis and knee high fluffy white fur boots...
The downside of his new svelte look? Being hounded by the Paparazzi...
So cute! Love the new do!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I LOVE it!! I give my Nico a similar cut every year when the weather gets hot and he sheds 24/7. It always takes him a few days to adjust and feel "pretty" again, but when it does, it makes life SO much easier for me.
ReplyDeleteBut man, is yours a cutie!
XoXo.
Fluffy or smooth, he's still the cutest cat around. Just curious, does the vet/groomer have to sedate him when he gets shaved? I can't see either of my cats holding still long enough. xo xo
ReplyDeleteLove the summer doo!
ReplyDeleteGreat "do"! Are those Greenies as in Feline Greenies?
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Didn't know they even had this cut for cats. Love the new 'do!
ReplyDeleteI'm calling Social Damn Services for what you've done to that cat. Take that cat back at once and have them take those little puffy bits off.
ReplyDeleteOh my Gosh! I am cracking up at the puff at the end of his tail! Simply ferocious!
ReplyDeleteOur cats look exactly like Pilgie's before headshots...I may have to also pull an Evangalista on Mr. Whiskers and Prince Charming!
god bless the furminator. i am loving the next to last shot. amazeballs.
ReplyDeleteI have been faithfully FURminating Patty for TWO WHOLE YEARS and she still hasn't been picked as the "Furry Face of Furminator" - not only has Pilgie breached his modeling contract but he certainly can't provide any testimonials about the removal of basketball-sized mounds of fur.
ReplyDeleteAnd Allie, as long as its green, I'm usually happy!
Seriously. I could knit a whole nother dog with what I take off Connor! Especially this time of year. I loved it on Saturday when it was so windy and I could take him out and furminate away and let the wind carry the fluff.
ReplyDeleteOh, he looks adorable that way! Both ways, but it's nice that your cat gets a new do for summer!
ReplyDeleteNo sedation neccessary but you must find a good, kind groomer. It makes all the difference in the world. And, one that allows you to stay, even better. And, yes, those Greenies...XXOO
ReplyDeleteThis is extraordinary. Almost a chic apres-ski-boots look circa 1970, Gstaad...
ReplyDeleteThis is one incredible-looking cat...
I am going to e-mail you a picture right now of some White Lions that could be Pilgie's long lost cousins! Your handsome boy looks like he is ready for summer!!!
ReplyDeleteLook at that new 'do on Pilgie! I'm sure he is much more comfortable in the warmer weather, sporting his new look. :)
ReplyDeleteHe is so cute! Love the one of him in the door, looking back.
ReplyDeleteI think both before and after pictures are so cute! I often use the furminator on our Westie and it works great. She isn't too fond of it though and hides everytime I get it out to use.
ReplyDeleteconfession: i abhor cats. yours, however, are seemingly charming :)
ReplyDeleteSame with my Miss Belle, I would have several angora sweaters by now!!

By all means go for the bikini model contract.
ReplyDeleteAlways Bumby
I was watching Big Life (Kirstie Alley's reality show..my bff was visiting & loves it) ...and she had a big ole beautiful Pilgie-ish kitty cat on her bed. Thought of you.
ReplyDeleteI'm TRYING to find someone that will do a lion cut on my maine coon George. His fur has defeated the furminator.I think really he hates grooming so much I couldnt use it as well as needed. We are thinking of changing his name to Mat....because of ALL his MAtS..embarassing.Your kitty looks adorable.
ReplyDelete.
