Stocking Stuffer Extravaganza Continued

Back with a few more goodies to stuff your stockings. Some are repeats, and one is a threepeat but, thought maybe some of ya may need reminding...

I have recently upped my usual 6 mile runs to 8 and thus feel très deserved of the Garmin Forerunner 405CX. Très deserved if you're listening Santa Baby...

Branching out in my Vie Luxe candle selection with socialite and founder Majorie Gubelman's recommendation of the St. Moritz scent for the holiday....

Make sure your stocking's big enough for books cuz this one looks like the perf read for a week spent roasting on la playa Mexicana...

Babe and I have always kept Iomoi custom coasters on our bedside stands for glasses of water. His keeps his glass from making a ring. Mine helps keep the glass from tipping over as the cats stand on my sleeping face and help themselves from it throughout the night...

Meg Fairfax from Pigtown-Design blog finds the best treasures scouring her charity shop hotspots like this swanky fox and horn bar pin. Lucky for us she's decided she can part with him and now he's looking for new life outside of his previous Pendleton kilt existence...

Requisite attire for all C'villians are Blundstones and a Wiley Brothers classic 4-loop belt. Babe and I amicably co-parent a black and a brown one...

The bff beat me out of the starting gate getting these Meg Carter sea candy dangles. That's okay, it's not who gets them first Kimba, it's who wears them first that counts...

My favorite Kiehl's product du jour is The Imperial Body Balm. My precious skin deserves this reward for all the sun and salt soaking it puts up with in the summer...

The rest of the stocking can be full of coal as long as this lil Frank Gehry trinket for Tiffanys is tucked safely in there somewhere...

A horrified gasp from Hilbils as I publicise my obsession with the Bumpit. I'm thinking more along the lines of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's and a smidgie less of MTV's The Jersey Shore. One day til her highness returns home for Christmas and gives me never ending grief over this suggestion...

And, three times the charm...Just so happens, I know my childhood stocking will be stuffed with a new orange leather Chuck Pinnell key ring. This is good news for Emma who's been waiting in the wings to adopt my blue ostrich one...

And, how about a pink Swans Island scarf to go with a suspected Burberry pea coat sitting wrapped under the tree? Pretty around the neck and, in a NYC frigid pinch, equally useful around ones ankles under a dinner table. If Mario Batali had only known there was a crime of fashion being committed in his Greenwich Village establishment...

Back tomorrow to fill Maxminimus' request for stocking stuffers pour les hommes post. I may have to confer with Babe on this one ADG...XXOO

  12. P.S. By the way, if you have to get any gifts for little girls, I just posted some great gifts I think you would especially approve of (if you make it to that Homegoods store for nutcrackers). Getting BabyGirl started in the right direction...

  13. cannot wait to hear how the book is- especially enjoyed underneath un sol muy fuerte! *sidenote* I know you're going to Mexico, but in Spain, the sun is named "Fernando" b/c it is strong like a man. ha!

also- can you do a bumpit how-to post please! certainly if you use one, it's okay for me to jump on the bandwagon too.

hope you heal up speedy-quick- nothing more frustrating than not being able to throw down a good run :(

  14. I am fascinated by the bumpit and am hoping to find a dark brown one in my stocking!!!

I always feel the need to comment on the Garmin Forerunner. Since I have now had mine for 6 months I can tell you that I don't think it is worth the money.

Lately it has been dropping the satelite signal halfway through my long runs, giving me wonky distances (hello I did not run 32 miles in an hour and a half!!) and I've had to shut the GPS feature off to avoide this.

Its being sent back to Garmin as we speak, I'll let you know the outcome!

  16. Dear Ms. Summer...I found your website from Ms. Morris' blog and I remember you lived in Georgetown. I promise not to humbug you on Christmas shopping items - but the Swan Island scarf really interested me for my wife, but I'm not confident I'll get one via shipping. Would you happen to remember any stores in G-town that offer a great selection in scarfs - my wife is big on the scarf. The Swan Island website didn't offer many retail outlets. You really shouldn't give this information away for free - the items you posted are great. I literally went right down your list and thank you for the buckle, braclet, candles, fox pin and book suggestions - the scarf is the only item that tripped me up. Thank you so much for any help and the the great posts. Merry Christmas to you!
