Where were you five years ago?
Five years ago this month, a newly engaged Babe and I were having a sunset cocktail at Sandy Lane in Barbados. He was halfway through his first year of UVA School of Medicine and I was living the Nanny Diaries...
What is on your to-do list today?
5 times infinity of pull ups and push ups...
Followed by The Bachelor Tells All tonight and this...
What five snacks do you enjoy?
I'm an all or nothing kind of girl so I don't really differentiate between snacks and meals. It's either pretzels and Diet Coke or as much of the foods listed below that make me go absolutely nuts...

Get that lil Gin Lane cottage...
Kindness of Housewife Bliss for thinking of me thus freeing up plenty of time for relaxation and recuperation. Now if I could just lift my arms to wash my face and brush my teeth...XXOO
Oh I've had Sandy Lane on my radar for YEARS now and recently looked up the prices and told Hubby and he looked at me like Yeah, right.
ReplyDeleteOh the things we could do if we didn't have 2 private school tuitions. It's sickening when I think about it...and I try not to...
And on that Gin Lane picture...as Rob Lowe says to Meg Tilly in Masquerade as they pull up to her Hamptons place..."Nice cottage."
I love that you have your sights set on a cottage by the water. Did I tell you I make a wonderful house guest.
ReplyDeleteI make the best crab cakes.
We need to market a "Summer is a Verb" drink.

Give me that filet o' fish, give me that fish!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to DC A!

I can always count on your posts to make me smile in the morning. If you ever organize a DC get together please remember little ole me. ;-)
ReplyDeleteNot really back in DC. Josh and I have made the Fairfax Hotel (the old Ritz on Mass Ave) our home away from home when in town for social obligations. Ain't no way I'm leaving the beach this close to summer people. Don't ya'll know me by now??? XXOO
ReplyDeleteI just adore that oil painting you have by the window, simply divine! Thanks for the shout about, really lovely of you. Have Babes give you an arm rub later with a bit of jasmine oil, will do wonders.
ReplyDeleteI send the adoration of the painting by the window - that's fab. Yeah, I would love a little place by the sea as well...
ReplyDelete"Ain't no way I'm leaving the beach THIS close to summer" -- Love it! Perhaps you have a twin sister down here? :-) XOXO
ReplyDeleteYou're back in DC?? Let's make time to get together...
ReplyDeleteSo much to comment on...been dying to get to Sandy Lane fore like ever!
ReplyDeleteOcean City...that's where me and all my friends took off to the morning right after my senior prom (you were prob. still in jr. high) so it will always hold such a special place in my heart too!

ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful pic of you and spouse. I have to get on the stick and get out those old (in our case, really old) pix. Love your sharing once again...
ReplyDeleteP90X wallops a punch! Better luck sticking to it than I have had. I have had valid excuses, though. It really IS a good workout. Best of luck.
ReplyDeleteSorry to digress, but haven't you mentioned Furman College? If so, may I have your assessment? Thanks, in advance.
I think Al Gore grew up in the Fairfax hotel while his dad was a senator.. (seriously)...
ReplyDeleteAlso, I want that lamp in the window...that big fat blue & white one. Love it!
What a great post!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize you were a nanny! I just read "You'll Never Nanny in This Town Again" and it reminded me of some of the awful interviews I have gone on the last few months!
