Annnd The Rest Of The Wish List Story...

Million dollar bath linens are one thing...

But, if Babe caught me bringing just one more organizational box or basket into our home I'd find myself in divorce court faster than you could say adieuHermesgravytrain...

So, these orange beauties will have to wait til sombody's all curled up in Business Class and crossing into a different time zone...

I've been lusting after one of John Derian's Handmade Moroccan Pouf's ever since aide-de-camp Lizzie and the bff Kimba got theirs...

And, although I'm leaning towards the fuchsia for the guest bedroom, I'm torn cuz this navy would be a smidge more versatile, i.e., Babe saleable...

But, I'd give them ALLLLL up for an Omersa leather footstool...

They rank right up there alongside the Cartier tank watch for longest running lust item on my list...

Think Abercrombie and Fitch pre cologne soaked tweenagers...

Yup. That long...

Kindness of Let the Tide blog for reminding me of my coveted leather ottoman. Got any tips EAS on how to convince Babe this is what HE wants for Christmas??? XXOO

  1. ha ha soaked cologne --- you have wicked wit and that my dear is a hook, line and sinker. A branding iron might help too. I wonder if you secretly tattooed your wish list somewhere? ha ha....

  2. subliminal messaging, writing on the mirror in the fogged up bathroom. writing it in the sand, or on the snow....keep writing that wish list down, snippets of paper...tucked in (belgian loafer) shoes.

  3. Well let’s see the Rhinoceros Foot Stool from NRO is an arm and a leg cheaper then Jonathan Adler’s. So pointing out the savings is always the first step to negotiations. I will work on JCW and let you know of any loopholes! I learned from a friend that whenever a new purchase is noticed it always goes back to that Nordstrom gift card you got for your birthday or Christmas. Who knew Bad Bath and Beyond sold Hermes? Wink. xx

  4. Something weird is going on. I have been eying those boxes and am
trying to decide the color. The poufs have been on my wishe list for months trying to decide placement and color!!!! Then would you believe that presently I am having monograms done on bedding!!!
    Two great minds I guess.

  6. Oh gosh I wish I could remember WHICH relative had that leather animal. I think it was a rhino....I failed to appreciate its glory in my youth.

  7. When you get your pouf - stuff it with clothing like the Moroccans do. When I brought mine home from Fez I tried batting first and it just didn't work so I filled it with old shirts etc and now one can actually sit on it.

  8. OMG, that elephant footstool is wayyyy up there on my list as well. Sandwiched nicely in between the Cartier love bracelet and the Hermes Birkin bag.

  9. The rhino has been on my wish list for years. I WILL own it someday and have it in a library. The rhino is the Taft mascot so it is just a MUST!!!

  11. This is too funny, a sibling has the leather pouf and another has the elephant *chair*!

And the Container Store is like crack cocaine, serious problems arise whenever we float in...!

    Sending you a smile,

  12. At least the orange boxes aren't re-purposed gift boxes from Hermes....stuffed with other goodies like that horse blanket...

  16. Cheaper AND free shipping at NRO than at Scully & Scully.
Plus, of course, it's the perfect perch for his footrub.
    That's IT !

  17. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi il ne les aime pas. Ils sont magnifiques et pris pour un roi. (I don't understand why he would not love them. They are beautiful and made for a king.)

  18. Those footstools are precious! Love your comment about Abercrombie & Fitch, so true... I actually don't mind the store too much but what I hate is teenagers calling it "preppy"! No, darlings, no...

  19. You just HAD to show the orange boxes, didn't you!!

  20. HAHAHA! "Think Abercrombie and Fitch pre cologne soaked tweenagers..." my mother still often reminds me of who USED to shop there. Touche. Very funny.
