Almost Uniform Time

All tanorexia aside, my tan is nearly extinct which means it's almost time for the fall uniform of polo shirts and sweats. And, it looks like Boast's timing couldn't be better in Allie Von Summerville...

Such a small, and très Royal Tenenbaums, investment that will get more than it's fair share of wear in the next couple of months...

Green to go with my navy sweats...

Tiffany blue to go with my other navy sweats...

Annnd, the Furman purple goes so well with all future navy sweats purchases. Pshaw, I've been known to throw in a cashmere sweater into the mix every now and then too...

Kindness of Skip over at Alex Grant for the heads up on the infamous Maple leaf's resurrection. Just in the nick of time too cuz my Big Pony polos are about to be put out to pasture...XXOO

  1. OK I am so glad you mentioned that is a maple leaf because I was squinting to figure out if it was another less preppy type of leaf. haha! I've never seen these before- are they in VT? I need to look into them. Very cute.

  2. That shirt in the middle is Carolina Blue, not to be confused with sky blue, or blue by any other name! Put me down for a couple. And thanks for reminding me I need to add TRT"s to my netflix que.

  3. Bloomberg TV had a nice segment on Boast last week. I well remember Boast from the late 1970s and 1980s. As a long-time squash player, I suppose it pisses me off a bit that all these unathletic Brooklyn hipsters and fat Trads are coming out of the woodwork claiming this brand for themselves. Frauds.

  4. I think I still have a Boast shirt or two left over from my high school days... how funny!

A little Guerlain (Dore #2) face bronzer will keep your face looking sun-kissed all year long!

  5. Ha... the leaf is rather misleading... I don't know that I could convince everyone in Jackson Hole that was a maple leaf...

  6. I had to take a second look at the leaf too!!!

This brand has never made it's way this far north - not that it is warm enough to wear polos now, mine are all packed up until next summer.

  7. So funny you reference Royal Tenenbaums, b/c that's exactly what I thought of when I saw the pic, before I even read your comment. Love that film. Ready for the fall wardrobe.

  9. I love that Boast is back now that I can buy them with my own money, rather than try and trick my mother into buying them for me in the olden days ;-)

  10. Count me in to the "Wait, I thought that was marijuana!" club. On the other hand, I'm in Northern California, so I have a good excuse.

  11. Love the comments today! Hilarious. And I too am schooled once again by you. I can not imagine you in sweats though for some reason. I thought the leaf was because this was a hemp made shirt...now there's a brand I'd stand behind. How funny all of the preppies recognize the herbaceous leaf. What happens behind the country club pool house stays behind the country club pool house, right?

  13. Why don't we just say it's a conversational leaf and call it a day? XXOO

  14. For YEARS I thought the Boast leaves were "other" leaves - thankful I am not the only one who has been naiveley mistaken!
