Kristin's Crabmeat Casserole

Leftover crabs never go to waste around here. Last week's unfinished haul was picked and recycled for my much used "Kristin's Crab Meat Casserole" recipe...

1 lb backfin crab meat
2 pkgs Philadelphia Cream Cheese, room temperature
8 oz sour cream
4 tablespoons mayo
juice of 1/2 of lemon
2-3 shakes Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon Colman's Dry Mustard
3 shakes garlic salt
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 reserved for topping
Paprika

Preheat oven to 325°. Mix all ingredients minus the crab meat, 1/4 cup of the reserved grated cheddar and Paprika.

Gently fold in the crab meat.

Place in a casserole dish and top with remaining grated cheddar then sprinkle with Paprika. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.

Serve with your favorite cracker or a nice crusty french bread. Seriously, just a spoon'll do ya...

Kindness of Kristin Insley for the delish Crab Meat Casserole recipe ohhh sooo many years ago. It was theee chafing-dish all the pretty girls could be found around at any proper Eastern Shore party...XXOO

We Interupt This Weekend For The Following...

Yesterday, I jumped on my sister Julie when I saw her perusing the Stephen Bonanno website looking for a number to call to order herself a pair of black patent sandals. "OnlycallVivianatthefactory!" I shouted from my comfortable perch. "What? Why?" she said picking up her Crackberry "Cuz I read somewhere that a couple of their signature stores are selling fakes". Well, low and behold, this comes across the news desk late last night from Vivian Benvenuto herself...

An open statement from Stephen Bonanno Sandals to our loyal clients and friends:

If it doesn’t say “Stephen” it isn’t Bonanno!
It has come to our attention that for at least the past 7 weeks, the “SBS Signature Stores” have been getting their product made by knock-off “Bonanno Sandals” and passing them off as authentic “Stephen Bonanno Sandals.” Because of this impropriety, Stephen Bonanno Sandals has severed all ties with the proprietors of the Downtown Stuart and Vero Beach locations (as well as the verobonannosandals online presence) and have made a number of unrequited requests that they immediately cease and desist using the “Bonanno” name, the SBS logo and anything representing Stephen Bonanno Sandals in any way shape or form. Legal action is pending.

We know that our loyal preppy clientele appreciates premium quality, looks down upon knock-offs and would be appalled to find out they’ve been duped by a dishonest merchant. We are doing everything within our power to protect the company we’ve worked so hard to build and the customer relationships we so greatly cherish.
If you discovered “Bonanno Sandals” in your shoe box when you paid and expected to receive “Stephen Bonanno” sandals, please contact me via Vivian@bonannofactory.com

The only way to ensure you are getting authentic Stephen Bonanno Sandals is to order them directly from us by calling toll-free 1-866-313-3338, ordering online at our official website http://www.sbsandals.com/ , or visiting our Factory Boutique in Stuart at 882 SW Enterprise Way. Another SBS company-owned boutique will be opening in West Palm Beach in September. Please sign up for our newsletter or follow us on Twitter (@SBSandals_PR) for updates and announcements. There are also a number of stores throughout the USA who carry authentic Stephen Bonanno Sandals and they are listed on our website.

Kindness of Vivian Benvenuto of Stephen Bonanno Sandals for considering Summer is a Verb worthy of this hard hitting news report. I feel just like Christiane Amanpour emotionally reporting from Sarajevo. Now, excuse me while I go make a space for my future Peabody Award next to my Bonanno's collection...XXOO

Break Out The Cigars

Poor Pilgie (who is rockin the nickname Pisowww these days) is still nursing his broken heart and desperately missing Templeton...

But, that sweet Tatsie is still looking out for his family from heaven and has hand picked a lil furry angel to be born into our lives...

A few days ago Pilgie's sister Lacey gave birth to a litter of two...

And, Templeton thinks we should have the little grey female...

So now Pigie is preparing to take his wee niece under his wing and school her in the art of bravery, acrobatics, la familia and the burden of having an ever evolving nickname...

And, of course, lots of Mummy smothering...

Looks like that snuggle gene doesn't fall far from the Pilgie tree...

So, hang in there Pips, only seven weeks til our gift from Tatsie arrives...

Kindness of Pilgie's surrogate Mummy Julie Akers for keeping us updated with pics and stories til our little girl is ready to become a part of our family. And, most especially, our beloved Templeton for still watching over us...XXOO

Gwynnie Mania

Apparently, the August issue of Vogue is chock full of good Gwynnie news for all us stalkers fans...

Among the morsels in the article; GP has penned a cookbook, My Father's Daughter, which debuts next Spring. Guess that dream she mentioned to Mark Bittman on Spain: On The Road Again came to fruition...

Annnd, she has a movie, Country Strong with Tim McGraw, coming out in December...

So much GP on the horizon and too much wait time! Until then, I'll just have to rely on my weekly GOOP newsletters for my Gwynnie fix...

Meanwhile, the mice are busy cataloguing all the relevant cookbook and movie notes in the Gwyneth Paltrow file in my head. That file happens to be housed in the same aisle as the India Hicks and Oprah files...

Now, off to scour the Internet for the monogrammed Goyard bag she's sporting in this picture I stumbled upon on the Summer in Newport blog. Hmmm...Maybe I will take Babe up on that invite to NYC next week...

Kindness of Kristin at
Summer in Newport for alerting me to all the good Gwynnie media on the horizon. And, most of all, that must have Goyard tote. And, just so happens I have the 4 initial thingy going for me too. How convenient...XXOO

And, a special thank you to Erin at Let the Tide Pull Your Dreams Ashore for the
link to her Goyard post from last year. And, the price tag to Gwynnie's lil number. We WON'T be publishing that info where prying Babe eyes may see!

Underpinnings For The Sporty Gal

It may come as a shock to most but, when it comes to underpinnings I am très pedestrian. If Garanimals rolled out an adult line of mix and match panties and bras, I'd be first in line...

So, Babe may have his "smartypants", Maxminimus his "GTH pants" (and La Perla fantasies) but, I am quite content with my colorful stack of Cosabella Never Say Never Hottie Lowrider Hotpants. Pretty, comfortable and, above all, easy peasy, coordinate with your Lilly or Crew shorts du jour, bottoms...

And, after years of frustration, and mostly donning Patagonia's sports version, I have found my go to bra in the Only Hearts Seconds Skins Underwire...

And, my idea of putting on the underdog, their Stretch Lace Underwire bra. Until Babe's smartypants make us richypants, the yearly Eres and La Perla wardrobes will have to be placed on the back burner...

Kindness of all my male readers who will forgive me two things; one, posting on female underwear and two, posting on boring female underwear. Y'all come back now, ya hear...XXOO

Gypset Groupie

Babe mocks me endlessly about my underlying Bohemian vibe...

When I emerged from the bedroom on Saturday prancing about in my new Jules Reid Kimono, he asked if we were getting "high" in the car on the way to the party...

Mock away funnyman cuz I have fooouuund my religion and Gypset Style is my new bible...

Gypset = Jet Set + Gypsy so now, I finally have a name for my India Hicks...

...meets Ralph Lauren...

...meets Talitha Getty...

...meets Mrs. Roper boho-chic. So, hold on to your hookah Babe cuz I'm breakin out the Calypso, elephant hair and Bhati Beads bracelets. For, sticks and stones may break my bones but, your hippie taunts will never hurt me...

Besides, I don't recall any Cheech and Chong jaunts to Marrakesh on private jets...

Kindness of Jules Reid for mentioning Gypset Style in her Virginia Living interview. Does this make you my Gypset Guru Jules? XXOO

Jules Reid Virtual Trunk Show

Alice
You have great taste. The Montauk blouse you bought in light blue ikat is in the July issue of Town & Country. It looks cool. I am excited!
Jules

Ohhh, I know Jules. Believe me, I honed in on that immediately when I cracked my issue of T&C...

I can also add the June issue of Lucky to my "press file" for featuring my most recent JR purchase...

Of course, this gorgeous picture of you wearing the Kimono in elephant love blue had nooo influence whatsoever on my color choice...

So what's my excuse to get the Teddy? How about a Jules Reid virtual trunk show hosted by Jessica at The Love List, beginning at noon today, with 25% off all sales? Welp, sounds like a viable excuse to me...

Kindness of
Jules Reid and Jessica Nell Graves at The Love List for the chance to check the last item off my JR spring/summer wish list. Now, let's see how fast my purchasing trigger finger is before Babe reads this and puts up a Living La Visa Loca roadblock...XXOO
