Luckily in my family only one has been lost, my dear Uncle Charlie. It took twenty years for my mother to be able to read his letters again. Being married to a Marine, retired now, I have witnessed a lot of heartbreak. I am crying right now knowing that people do appreciate the sacrifice that these men and women make, some of them so, so, so young. Thank-you for such a precious post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8297007378564032670.post-89698037822577652442012-05-28T09:42:59.051-04:002012-05-28T09:42:59.051-04:00Well done.

We spent the day Friday at the Naval War College in Newport celebrating my step son's retirement from the Navy after 26 of distinguished service. As if that wasn't touching enough our grandson - his son and a newly minted sailor - piped him ashore.

Aren't we so lucky to live in this country w/ all the wonderful things we enjoy because of the fine men and women who have and continue to serve?

Keep up the good work and have a great day!Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06448903533117564256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8297007378564032670.post-61156212872965398442012-05-28T07:03:10.120-04:002012-05-28T07:03:10.120-04:00Just woke up at Hilton Head with a sunburn and a s...Just woke up at Hilton Head with a sunburn and a storm.
