All Up In My Kitchen Grill

My sister Julie and I are currently obsessed with Williams-Sonoma's Nonstick Goldtouch collection of bakeware. Collection being the operative word here...

I christened my Half Sheet Pan when I made Ina's Outrageous(ly) fattening and delish Brownies this past weekend and it was love at first bake...

But, I kept wishing I had the 3-Piece Cookie Bakeware Set for her California Pizza's I was serving up as well...

Orrr would I be better off with a couple of the Pizza Crispers...

And, throwing in the Cooling Rack which would also be useful for when the cookie dough actually makes it as far as the oven?

Can't forget the Loaf Pan for making my much loved 'tis soon the season Bill Blass, aka Louie, Meatloaf...

And, family is already requesting my much trotted out on the wintry weekends Barefoot Contessa Easy Sticky Buns and this would be perf for those double batches...

Decisions, decisions. Not as in, which one or set should I get? But, which one or set should I get FIRST?

FYI...Williams-Sonoma is offering 15% off all "cooks tools" purchased in store only through Sunday. Unfortunately, I'm a week late for the swanky "cooks bakeware" sale but, at least you have an excuse to walk through the door now!

Kindness of my Mom and sisters who will be stopping at the Christiana Mall on the way back from NYC today to load up on Goldtouch bakeware for the lot of us in tax free Delaware. And here poor Babe thought he was in the clear since I HADN'T gone on the shopping trip with them...XXOO

Watch Before Applying This Morning's Mascara

Talk about answered prayers...

Just when I was questioning all the evil in the world God threw me a Milk bone...

Kindness of my father-in-law for relaying the message. Babe especially thanks you since it was him I kept up Sunday night crying and struggling over the unpleasantries in life. He just wishes you could have sent it to me PRIOR to him needing to be up at 5am to make his train...XXOO

Rome Wasn't Built In A Day...

But, apparently the stats are in on how quickly it can crumble...

Sooo, after a month and a half of...no working out, several back to back wine soaked weeks annnd the past weekend of gluttony which included (but was not limited to) Barefoot Contessa's California Pizzas and Outrageous Brownies, 3 lb lobsters and copious amounts of melted butter to go with...the piper came a calling.

But, evidently his flute is only heard by overweight, outta shape human ears cuz my support staff nodded off halfway through the first of my two P90Xhaustive punishments...

No doubt resting up for a big night of dumpster wastebasket diving while I'm attempting to sleep off the day's torture...

Pull it together puddies cuz the bff has roped Mummy into signing up for her first half marathon and we only have til early December to build Rome back up. And no more chocolate allowed in this house! Butcept, on Saturdays...

Kindness of Sgt. Slims of the
Maxminimus Butt Police for only issuing me a stern warning after being "tipped" off concerning my recent slippage by a certain Belgian Shoe wearing Deep Throat. It actually worked out quite well. I bribed an officer of the Butt law AND got the rest of the brownies out of the house. That's whatcha call killing two problems with one Tupperware full of chocolate...XXOO

Uncle!

Okay, okay...I give. The fall equinox arrived last week and I can no longer pretend otherwise. I ain't saying I won't log a few more days in a bikini on the beach but, I will concede that summer has come to a close by breaking out my fall wish list. But, stand by for my resort list to soon follow...

Should I wait til I'm in Paris to get the Roger Vivier Chips flats in black patent or have them for my trip? Hmmm...

Babe would have to peel this Glamourpuss NYC rabbit fur Bolero off me every night cuz I certainly wouldn't be taking it off before bed of my own volition...

The History of Paris in Painting. Just to look the part bone up...
Snatching this Velvet Vanity Tee up in white, grey AND navy. Butcept mine will likely be paired with sweats and not a cute skirt...

Even though I'm not quite finished with my ski scene I better have the next needlepoint belt kit on deck for looming tanning trips to Meeehico...

I wore the Mrs. Roper sleeves off my Jules Reid flowing kimono this summer and can't add this one in Tiger Pink to my fall collection fast enough...

I just must have this T. Anthony Stowaway Duffle packed in my wheeled suitcase when I head to gay Pareee. Where else would I stuff all my whatever "Rue du..." Hermès is located on loot during the trip home?

I'm getting hassled by family members for the holes in my Petit Bateau tees that I wear with my jammie bottoms. This is as close of a replacement to the old style that I can find on their website. Although, I don't see what the biggie is about a few non revealing holes...

I owed Mary Anne that Lotus and Lilly clutch win for bringing this Lauren Merkin Berry Calf Hair clutch to my attention a few months ago. How would Rachel Zoe say bah-na-nahs in french?

enter code "happyfall" at checkout now through the end of September to receive 20% off all orders!

Who was I kidding holding on to my Patagonia size small Coolweather Running Tights. The days of 5am six milers and size small anything belong in the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History. Time to spring for the mediums. And, FYI, these babies were sold out everywhere all last year so don't wait for it to actually turn cold before ordering...

Kindness of Babe for realizing that the lack of any Hermes items on this list holds nooo meaning whatsoever. THAT is a wish list unto itself. These are just the items me and the UPS man can handle all by ourselves covertly during the week...XXOO

Pass The Linen Hankie Please

I just dispatched the heartbreaking news to Emma in Australia...

Sadly, Camilla Bradley is shutting her Newport last set of CKB doors. I'm drowning my sorrows in a pint of Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Chunk. Weeell, more precisely, just the chocolate chunks dug outta Babe's pint of Mint Chocolate Chunk. And, I'm convincing myself that Camilla has a ski line up her debut sleeve. Time shall tell...

To make up for the bad news, I'm rolling out just one more li'l trivia contest. This time, theee very first person to correctly guess BOTH of my favorite flowers will walk away with the much coveted Meg Carter big pearl, little lapis studs. Everyone...friends, family, awake and advantaged West Coasters...is eligible. Sooo, let the game begin!

Kindness of the generous
Meg Carter for offering such a fabulous giveaway treat. Once again, I will have to sit on my own hands come midnight. The best I can hope for is that a sister or niece will pull through on this one and I can at the very least borrow the studs...XXOO

Chopper Worthy Snacks

I got really spoiled living in C'ville and G'town with all the fabulous groceries and developed quite a few food habits that I'm now forced to, as Babe says, "chopper in". Good thing the beach house has a rooftop deck for landing the Sikorski...

I bought out every stinkin bag of FEED granola in three different stores at the beach in the beginning of the summer and they have yet to restock. My first shipment was intercepted by Babe while I was frolicking in Montauk...

I actually had trouble finding my fav Maple flavor of Old Chatham's sheep's milk yogurt in DC so that shipping habit goes back a ways...

And, since I'm already paying for the Old Chatham shipping (that's my story and I'm stickin with it) I always have them toss in a few rounds of Nancy's Hudson Valley Camembert cheese. Babe can thank Kimba for both those habits...

Brought this recent addition home from Montauk with me after meeting the creator of Kale Crisps on the beach. A pouch of the Cheezy flavor made it back in my T. Anthony but that is long gone. Start up the chopper!

Ahhh...Centerville Pie Company's Chicken Pies. Actually got out of bed the other night to place my pre order after watching Oprah rave about them. Can NOT wait for this delivery...

These Guittard Green Mint Chips just arrived today courtesy of reader I Love Lime Green and hold all the promise of a habit in the making...

Teeters was carrying Bolthouse Farms Carrot Juice but, as of yesterday, it was either sold out or no longer on the shelves. Belgian Shoe Joanie has just landed herself on Babe's hit list with this introduction. And, let me tell ya...he will put up a royal fuss over the shipping of this one cuz he can't stand it. Operation carrot juice status: early stages...

Lastly, my newest obsession, Oikos Chocolate Greek Yogurt and fortunately stocked at Teeters. Although, I have been rapidly depleting the stock with my twice daily habit and I don't see it being replaced...

Kindness of Babe for renting us a beach house with a rooftop landing pad. And, also for being out of town during the week so he can't truly gauge all the air time I'm logging...XXOO

Let Them Eat Petits Fours!

Someone once left a comment labeling me "the Marie Antoinette of the blogosphere". I, of course, accepted, not in the spirit it was meant but, in the spirit of Kirsten Dunst's enviable wardrobe in the Sophia Coppola movie...

Annnd, possibly the abundance of champers and petits fours...

So, it's my destiny that I must have the Jules Reid Paris inspired Gown of Love, the Parisienne, in Tiger Lavender...

Or, do I want it in the Blue Elephant print? I think in true Marie Antoinette fashion I should have BOTH...

Kindness of Babe for funding my holiday pilgrimage to Petit Trianon. Now, if I could only use MY charm, personality and beauty to snag us invites to soirées while abroad so I could debut my beautiful new gowns...XXOO

Happy Birthday Lilly P!

Facebook was all abuzz yesterday with a flurry of Birthday wishes for the Grand Dame of Prep, Ms. Lilly Pulitzer herself...

And, with perfectly timed panache, Lotus and Lilly has generously offered to give away one of her clutches made with vintage Lilly fabric...

So, to make things easy on us all, theee very first commenter to correctly guess my favorite color will be the lucky ducky. It's not a shade of or a color combo, but just one of your basic kindergarten colors...

Speaking of kindergarten behavior...you know the tides have turned when you start playing copy cat to your nieces instead of visa versa. When Emma and Hilbils returned home from a recent shopping spree with the Lilly Mini Agenda I couldn't swamp out my albatross of a day planner fast enough...

And, I knew exactly which Princess to head to get my fix in a timely and well wrapped manner...

Now, if any one asks, I had it first...

Kindness of Lotus and Lilly's Kristina Krieger for her generous offer to give away a clutch. Can I tell you how tempted I am to wait up til 12:01am and comment on my own post? But since I'd probably be ratted on by the class tattle tail, Master Maxminimus, I'll refrain. I will though, open the guessing game up to friends and family. Mark...get set...GO!!! XXOO

Like Spoiled Mother, Like Spoiled Daughter...

That li'l Lolly Cakes has assumed her to the manner born role with surprising ease...

She demands expects looots of attention...

And, like Mummy, she's not adverse to rousing a sleeping loved one to get it...

Forget the silver spoon, Lolly's registered for a sterling Tiffany's straw cuz that pretty pink champers posed such a logistical challenge the other night...

Guest shhhmuest, did someone ring the lobster dinner bell?

And, why clean when you can have someone do it for you?

Who me? Spoiled??? Yup. Takes one to know one Lolls...

Kindness of Babe and Pilgie for taking such good care of their girls. Maybe it's time to give Pilgie the ole, when she starts to ask for an Hermes beach towel talk, Daddy...XXOO

A Week Of Recovery And Almost Good As New

It became apparent just how much fun I was having in NYC and Montauk last week when I downloaded my pics and realized I had my flash off half the time...

Fortunately, my friends can handle their Savie a smidge better than my lightweight self...

But, the fun we had was very much worth the last several days of detox...

We hung at the Surf Lodge...

We played bikini tops optional Gypset at Cavet's Cove...

Behaved when asked...

But, that never lasted for long...

We had magical sunsets...

Incredible evenings...

And, a perfect crescent moon right on cue. I couldn't have asked for a better time. Unless...

You add bumping into Rafa Nadal at 1am as he's returning to your hotel. See, it pays to endure second hand smoke as your friends have a cig outside. Sooo worth smelling like an ashtray in bed all night...

Kindness of Annie Wannie for hijacking my Merkin clutch and whipping out my camera for the moment cuz I would NOT have had the guts to do it. Now excuse me while I go make my same ressie at the St. Regis for next year. Intel says the second floor's the place to be...XXOO
